So again not too much art lately. I've been really distracted the past week with some serious family issues, but I did cool down with some 80's cartoons today. Specifically, Wuzzles.
Eleroo is pretty rad, so I had to draw him up proper. Not the most exciting drawing, I know, but like I said, I've been way off my game.
Dear creators of Wuzzles,
If you ever plan to make a horrible current version, like those people did to Strawberry Shortcake, I'll put aside my morals and work for you. Because I love drawing halfsie-animals.
Love,
Shannon
Actually, I was about to go, but I realized I forgot some art:
some cute snaggleteeth, and is that the partridge family bird? maaaybe
some rough stuff i just drew when I had a lot on my mind. The foxes are from a story I've been working on since High School. I should get it on paper, but I keep chickening out. I don't know what I'm so afraid of.
okay thats it!

Finally an update!
I finished my first toy custom the other day, its made on a dunny from Kid Robot:
The dunny was based on this character, which belongs to one of my close friends. Shes a drogon/monster, naturally. I drew this back in January, but its still one of my favourite images of the character I've done.
I'm still not all that great with my digital camera, but at least my backyard makes perfect monster territory!
I learned a lot doing this custom, namely that cel paint doesn't make good friends with vinyl. At least not easily. I have one more in progress, and another one planned for when I can get into NYC for a full size munny.

Today I made a shirt design for the ongoing contest at design by humans.
Check it out:
I intend it to go on a brown shirt if it wins the daily contest, you can vote for it here: http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/27200
I also did a colour test of that red riding hood girl, sort of, I'm too tired to doodle around anymore tonight:

No uploads over the long weekend! And now I have a bunch of stuff to share:
A werewolf that wants to be a ballerina princess. How strange?
A design for a halloween themed convention, complete with scary mandrill and foreboding tikis!
I started doodling this chick the other night while watching tv. I think shes some sort of modern red riding hood.
Red again! I'm debating on whether shes buddies with the big bad wolf, or if she actually IS the big bad wolf. That would be pretty awesome, I think.
wolfies and ladies
and more gals! The little dog is supposed to be my chihuahua, chloe, who really is the tinest dog I've ever seen. She's about as long as my forearm, not including my hand. and fluffy!

Today's artworks!
I don't think I mentioned yesterday that I am hopelessly in love with 50's tiki culture. Really, whats not to love? Awesome beastie carved tikis, good drinks, fire, hot chicks. Its got it all.
Anyway, onto the art:
I, I just don't know. Its supposed to be Jack the ripper, but I have the tendency to make everything "young" looking
Just some general nonsense I doodled up in alias sketchbook.
I have a friend who really likes unicorns. This is for her, because I don't think I've drawn her one yet.

Hi there!
I decided to finally make one of these as a sort-of sketchbook/diary. I recently graduated the School of Visual Arts, and figured this would be a good way to share my art with a larger audience.
I mostly enjoy drawing critters and beasties, but occasionaly other things find their way into my drawings. I'm also greatly interested in "designer" toys, and do a fair share of sculpture as well. I hope you enjoy what I have to share!
Todays artwork:
Some beastly looking werewolves, and their buddies. I was watching American werewolf in Paris last night, and couldn't help but draw some of my own.
Decided to finish one of the above sketches in honour of this new blog! I shall call him, HOT WING. So clever.
And lastly, a monster I called "Moofli" I guess she's kind of a dragon-goat-succubus, when you really think about her.
